Privacy Policy
KnowledgeVault is a personal knowledge base. This page describes exactly what it stores about you and what it does not.

Who runs this service
KnowledgeVault is an independently operated service running at vault.intellectai.tech. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google LLC or any other third party whose sign-in service it supports.
What is stored about your account
- Email address — used to identify your account, to sign you in, and to send the verification code when you register.
- Password — only ever stored as a bcrypt hash. The plaintext password is never written to disk or logs. If you sign in with Google, no password is stored at all.
- Google account identifier — only if you choose “Continue with Google”. This is an opaque ID used to recognise you on your next sign-in. We do not receive or store your Google password.
- Display name — optional, only if you provide one.
- Timestamps — when the account was created and when it last signed in.
- Preferences — such as your chosen theme and sidebar state.
What is stored as your content
The knowledge items, notes, links, documents, tasks and collections you create. These are held in a database file belonging to your own workspace. Files you attach are stored on the same server. Your content is private by default and is only readable by you.
What is never collected
- No advertising or marketing trackers.
- No third-party analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no pixel, and no session-recording script in this application.
- No selling or sharing of your data with third parties. There is no mechanism to do so.
- No reading of your content for training, profiling, or any purpose other than showing it back to you.
When content becomes public — and only then
Everything is private unless you explicitly publish it. If you mark a collection as public, that collection becomes readable by anyone holding the link, without a login. You can make it private again at any time, which immediately stops the public link from working. No other part of your workspace is exposed by publishing a collection.
Sharing with specific people
You can share a workspace or collection with another KnowledgeVault account. That person sees only what you shared, at the permission level you chose, and you can revoke access at any time.
Email is used only for account verification and account-security messages. There are no marketing emails and no mailing list.
Where your data lives
On a single private server operated by the service owner. Data is not replicated to third-party analytics, advertising or data-broker services.
Your control over your data
- Export — you can export your entire workspace as a portable JSON file, or download a complete backup including attachments, at any time from Workspace settings. There is no lock-in.
- Correction — every item is editable by you at any time.
- Deletion — you can delete individual items, collections, or a whole workspace. To have your account removed entirely, use the contact route below.
Cookies and local storage
A session cookie keeps you signed in. Local storage holds a small amount of interface state, such as your last-applied theme, so the page does not flash the wrong colours on load. Neither is used for tracking or advertising.
Security
Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. All traffic is served over HTTPS. Email verification is required before a new account can sign in, which prevents someone registering with an address they do not control. Verification codes are stored hashed, expire, and are attempt-limited.
